Keep the original purchase or reward record
A receipt identifies a retail purchase. A reward email can identify a promotion and its deadline. Store those records safely and keep the full code out of shared files or support screenshots.
A rejected code is not proof of expiry
A wrong region, typing error, already-redeemed code or service issue can prevent redemption. The remedy depends on the actual message and product record, not the age of the screenshot.

Record which products were bought and which were promotional. If a promotion has a deadline, plan distribution before it. Do not promise recipients an expiry rule based only on a general catalogue label.
